I should be to the point in my life where birthdays aren’t exciting anymore but, no, I still love them. Perhaps it is because I have a day to do whatever I would like. Or perhaps it is because this year I got to be home and get spoiled by my family. Either way I love it. Also, when we were up in Boise, my mother-in-law made some delicious chocolate cupcakes for me to celebrate my day a bit early. That was a great surprise.
All I asked for this year was for some family time, and oh how I got that. From morning chats over the crepe breakfast Camren made me, to visiting Marissa at work at Cherry Hill, to making dinner with Mom, to finally playing cards with the whole family, it was a day of fun. The presents were just a bonus. As was the beautiful berry vanilla cake that my mom made. Delicious. How could I ask for more?
