I absolutely love cool weather. In fact, I would rather not go outside if the temperature is above 85 degrees. On top of that, I love the rain. The weather in Minnesota must have know that because it didn’t get to that degree until almost July and was drizzling almost daily. However, there are some people that don’t like that. My husband is included in that group. It also makes for difficult sight seeing if you are visiting, like my in-laws were. But, we made the best of it.
We sat through a windy and rain soaked Twins Baseball game and saw them make four home runs. Thankfully, our tickets were in a covered area so we actually had a great time. We took advantage of museums, the Mall of America, and other inside areas and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Then on one gloriously sunny morning, we were able to be outside. Kyle was at work but Dellas, Nancy, and I all went to the lake front in Wayzata to walk the boardwalk and do a little shopping. The sun only lasted the morning, but we soaked in in while we could.
Despite the weather, we are always able to find something fun to do. Perhaps that is why we like Minnesota so much. After all, we do have chill-you-to-the-bone winters yet, these Minnesotans know how to have a good time.
