We arrived in Victoria in the late afternoon. Because of this late arrival, there wasn’t much to do but walk around and see the sights. We were happy to do just that as the area we were in was so lovely. The main block consisted of the parliament building, the Empress Hotel, a market, a marina, and many little shops here and there. There were also a variety of musicians playing on the boardwalk of the marina. Some were better than others, but all equally entertaining.
After we had seen our share of the city, we stopped into a gelato shop. We ordered a concoction of dark chocolate, raspberries, and cheesecake that was well worth the tourist price. It was oh, so delicious! Almost as delicious as the sunset we got before heading back to the ship. We both look forward to the time when we can visit Victoria, BC again.
