Day 11: Bonfire on the Beach

When the time came to for us to disembark from our cruise ship, we were greeted by Kyle’s aunt, Sherri. She had woken up early just to come get us, and we are so grateful for her generosity. We drove back to the Frederiksen house, quickly got ready, and then went to church. We spent the rest of the afternoon with their family. I had only met them briefly before, so I was excited to get to know Darin, Sherri, and their four adorable kids.

Later that evening, we drove down to the coast to have a bonfire and make s’mores. We also spent time finding treasures in the rocks, skipping stones, and (on my part) taking pictures and people watching. It was such a beautiful evening. We couldn’t have asked for better weather.

Near where we were, was the Mukilteo Lighthouse. Again, I can’t resit a good lighthouse so I had to go take a look at it. It was surrounded by a white fence that was just begging to have cute kids in a picture with it. As the sun wend down, we took off, giggling with the kids about funny family stories, and making faces at each other. I really can’t get enough of them. They are adorable!
