This Easter snuck up on us. So, instead of trying to make a last minute big deal out of it, we had a lovely, quiet Easter. We exchanged baskets, ate a traditional meal, and then spent the rest of the day focusing on Christ. It was an lovely way to spend our day. And it helped that the weather was ideal for grilling and munching on chocolate bunnies (from one of my student) on the porch. However, Easter isn’t really about dyed eggs, bunnies, or little presents, it is about the incredible sacrifice of Christ that was made for all people. Being able to spend the day focusing on that was a much better Easter celebration than anything else we could have done.
