Day 3: Exploring St. George

Since this was the first time that the Frederiksen’s were all together, an attempt was made for a family picture. My sister-in-law, Andi, is a photographer, so she posed us all and then got some shots. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t behaving. It was windy, and clouds kept interfering with the lighting. After a while of trying to get the shot, kids were cold, and it didn’t look like we were going to get any more good shots due to the weather, we gave up for the day.

Afterwards, the girls all headed into St. George for breakfast and a baby shower for baby girl. She got so many cute things! We ate at Bear Paw Cafe (I highly recommend the waffles), then did a little shopping, and finally stopped at Fractured Prune Doughnuts for another sugar fix.

The boys then met us at the LDS St. George Temple. We walked around the grounds, got some pictures, and went through the visitors center. We also made a stop at Brigham Young’s Winter home, where Kyle saw one of his Church history professors. Because she recognized him, we spent some extra time talking about the details of the home.

That night we had a pool tournament. And guess who came home with the trophy? That’s right, yours truly. Of course, I really only won by default when my opponents messed up on their final ball. I’ll take it, though.
